Force-on-Force: The equipment

Force-on-force has become a catchword for practical shooting training. More and more weapons carrier to use this highly efficient Training method. Properly implemented Force-on-Force is a way out of unrealistic shooting training. A reasonable choice of equipment is important.

The design and implementation of a focused on practical concerns shooting training must cost not yet be time consuming. Elements that can not be due to shooting conditions and legal constraints in integrating the training with real guns, can for example be simulated with the so-called soft weapons. This training method is also known as Force-on-Force (FoF). The Force-on-force training can include the high dynamics of an armed confrontation to be adjusted. By using Airsoftsystemen of a hit is not fatal, he still leads to serious injuries. However, he is perceived as a strong pain impulse. Learning through pain is known to be a very effective way of learning and to some extent basic building block of the FoF.

The choice of system - 6-mm BB
There are various systems on the market. Acquisition costs, maintenance costs, necessary protective equipment, the availability and the realism of the weapons are just a few criteria that should be considered when purchasing. For the purpose of the Force-on-force training, the gas-driven 6-mm BB system has become established (also called GBB: Gas Blowback called). The acquisition costs are low. For one hundred euro already a high quality gun to have. The maintenance costs are due to the low cost 6-mm plastic spheres hardly worth mentioning. The same applies for the necessary Airsoftgas. The use of plastic bullets instead of paint balls also eliminates the cleaning of the training facilities.
For all other systems - Paintball Real Action Marker (RAM), and prevail Fireams, measured against these criteria, the disadvantages.

The choice of weapon
The choice of weapon is of great importance. FoF should fit as a component in an integrated system. That is, the armor-bearer must be able to use exactly the same equipment he used during training of a sharp shot. Airsoft guns should fit the needs in the holster, which is otherwise used and magazines can be carried in the spare magazine pockets. The manufacturers have done in this regard in recent years a lot of development work. Some of the Airsoft models are identical to the original handling weapons, they have the same feel and approximately the same weight.
recommend here are the models of H & K USP .45 and S26 of KWA KJ Works (corresponds to a SIG Sauer 226). Both models are sold by UMAREX.

also recommend the KWA G17 (equivalent to a Glock 17), which is in the Federal Republic but not yet available.
you decide to buy a soft weapons abroad is essential to ensure that the weapon the "F in a pentagon" has. Only with this character applicable in the Federal Republic as a permit-free firearm.

protection

The Force-on-force training for a mandatory full protective eyewear is required. An optical glasses alone is not enough. To protect the delicate facial pain reliably, should the purchase of a protective mask should be considered.

pistol (one hand)

-handed shooting with the handgun is sometimes called the dynamic shooting sport. A real and not to be underestimated importance this issue but only in the fire fight. Especially if the weapon must be reloaded with one hand or has a fault.

shooting training can sometimes be very unrealistic. For example, if the use of weapons carrier generally assumes that all enemies will stretch just by his appearance in the weapons that all armed confrontation in daylight or at least be done in the light or that he himself at any moment have two hands available to its short weapon to use. The statistics say, however, quite different. A variety of confrontations occurred in the dark. Depending on the region and range of applications where this number up to 80% be. Similarly, the minimum guarantee for good visibility is a guarantee on the integrity of the hands or arms.

In the case of a fire fight, are very likely including hits to the hands and arms to be expected, since these are mostly centrally in a prominent position in front of the body. Are knives involved, are cuts to be almost inevitable. Other violations that may occur in use, such as bruises or burns to mention. In any case, it can be a fatal mistake to assume that one has always and at all times two functioning hands on weapons manipulation. Before this background, it is useful routines for one-handed use of handguns to know and practiced this in training a few times to have. Three situations may arise here is that the right hand is injured before the gun was ever drawn from the holster, the pistol is fired or she has a disorder of the types 1 to 4

drawing the weapon with the left
Pulling the weapon with the left can be difficult to represent each model holster. In particular, users of holsters with mechanical fuses should look very closely in training on how or whether to operate at all securing of the holster after a total failure of the right hand with left.
Be used thigh holster, the shooter can take the first left hand leg strap to the holster a little pull to the front. The drawing process is simplified significantly.
you drag with the left, in most cases no proper grip technique are made. The shooter has to fit around an additional movement, carried out. It is good practice to press the gun to be between the knees and shifting hand.
Is the holster to the belt on 5-Clock-Position, it is better in some circumstances, result in the left hand behind the body to the holster. Anatomy and flexibility of your body set the limits here.

be handed reloading
Even when handed reloading, the weapon during the reloading process necessarily between parked somewhere. Here, too, should be to press the gun between his knees. The magazine well facing forward, the run down. The new magazine can now be applied to problems with his left hand. The load-through motion carried by the sight of the weapon against a clothing or equipment (belt, shoe soles and magazine pouch) key, which provides a correspondingly high abutment. With a vigorous, jerky movement pushes the hand of the grip forward.
This technique works with both right and with left. In training, they should preferably be practiced.

disorder type 1
case of breakdown of Type 1 will sound the loudest noise there is, if one actually a "Boom" expects, namely, a "click" . No external interference is evident. By a blow to the magazine and by loading the weapon ("tap-rack") of this type of fault is to remove quickly. In the one-handed operation means that the shooter strikes the weapon with the magazine floor on his knees, to ensure the Magazine is in place. He then invited by his gun belt or some other substantial abutment. This process works for both right-and left-handed and is analogous to recharging.
disorder type 2 is eliminated in the same way.

disorder type 3
interference of type 3 can be seen from the outside. The slide of the gun not locked, because two cartridges are the same in the system. Usually the causes are either a broken extractor claw, worn magazine lips or incorrect removal of the fault types 1 and 2 In Guns, this type of fault rather rare. A characteristic feature of the disorder
type 3, is that the slide put pressure on the top cartridge in the magazine, but this can not be fed because the chamber is still occupied. The magazine can be removed so only with increased effort from the gun. The fact that when operating the magazine release button automatically by gravity from the gun slips, is excluded. Since only one hand is available, a suitable tool to be found. It would be possible to hook the bottom of the magazine on the belt and pull the magazine from the weapon. This technique works only if between the magazine and Under the gun sufficient space is available. In most of the guns will not be the case.

equipment modifications
One-handed weapons manipulation may entail modifications to the equipment.
Some shooters are starting to reduce the frame height of their Glock pistols with sand. This creates a gap between the frame and bottom of the magazine. The magazine makes it far easier to hook on your belt and pull out. Others use again such as a Glock 19 Glock 17 Magazine permanently extended. Here, too, enough distance between the frame and bottom of the magazine is available. Another way that no structural Modification to the weapon requires the use of a forward projecting Magazine floor.
set the rear sight of the gun as a support used for carrying load, it must be shaped accordingly, and above all be stable enough. A delicate micrometer sight will survive the rough procedure is not often. In addition, you should always use as a weapon carrier also wear a sturdy, robust belt that can serve not only the holster for the gun and spare ammunition and possibly holding a portable radio, but also as corresponding to the abutment-handed repetition of the gun.

Conclusion
One-handed operation of the automatic pistol just like one-handed shooting should be part of the training program for use weapons carrier. Some have rehearsed routines, may be in an emergency is crucial. Special attention should be paid to the vulnerability of the equipment. Holster with Verrieglungssystemen can contribute to unexpected impediments, if never exercised, to use the release only with the support hand. The course is

World Cup and World Cup Marathon St. Wendel

went after my win at the Arlberg Bike Marathon it directly via Frankfurt and Boston to the World Cup in Windham, USA. The track in Windham took a ski slope up and then down again, which focused on bridges and North Shore style, which was really fun driving. I had a good start and was in the Top 40 before I had a flat tire in the first downhill and push my bike in the Techzone had. I lost by almost 5 minutes of time and also any chance Points. In the end I came 69ter to the finish.

From Windham went to Mount St. Anne for the World Cup in Canada. I knew the track already from the World Cup, but this year it was a little shorter and the organizers had built a new downhill as a new highlight. But the surprise for me, the temperature is above 30 degrees and the dusty and sandy ground. However, in time for the weekend came the bad weather and the track was slippery and greasy again. I went with the number 44 into the race and tried to start the 2 laps and the following 6 rounds to push me forward. The start was good, but after 500 meters there was a fall and the entire field stopped and thus the race was already almost gone. I did try the front to fight, but the distances were just starting after 2 rounds so great that I came at the end just as 42ter to the finish. With my performance but I'm happy because I had good legs and otherwise it went well but the result could have been better.
