Tiroler Championship 2010 World Cup in Offenburg



This was the first win for my new team-Felt Ötztal Xbionic. Although it has not after the first round looked like this, as was Daniel Federspiel leadership and I almost 30sec. behind it, but was coming towards the beginning of the second round again to him and he unfortunately had a puncture and I was alone in front. Too bad, certainly would have been an exciting race. So I drove the 10 laps for each 2 km on a challenging course to the finish. Was really a good race and good for the motivation.

After a tough Bundesliga race in Heubach where not much was simply standing on the Sunday of my team's home World Cup in Offenburg in the program. After the bad weather in the last weeks of the course was pretty muddy and slippery. But in time for the race weekend the weather was beautiful and the course was to go perfectly. I went with the number 57 into the race and came as 60ter of the opening lap. So my standards a good start and then it went really well. I was able to work on the 33 to the front rank, and even a top 30 place would have been feasible. However, in the last two laps I got cramps and so I lost a few positions and came as 39ter to the finish. But I am fully satisfied, was for a long time again a good race and the air at the top is really thin, because you can not afford no weaknesses.

No luck at the World Cup World Cup

Just before the start of the second World Cup in Houffalize (Bel) it started to rain again and thus made the course a little harder. Such conditions are normal to me and I was motivated to top the race. But shortly after the start there was a fall and I was the first time I got the starting rise up well and the thread in the first constriction was fine. But on the second climb of the course I realized that it would be a difficult and slippery race. I did not have a good grip on the rear wheel and it spins freely, thus had to cope with the increase I in a hurry. While it was then a little better, but with two falls and always a little loss of time in the climbs, I have to be satisfied with the 59ten place. Now I will relax a little the first time and again to work out well in Offenburg finally go to a good World Cup.
